'21 DDHC - 1,300 miles sold for $77k on Bring a Trailer

With the '23 and now the '24's on the way going to be hard for the '21s to hold their value.

Trust me, you're WAY better off buying a gently used one rather than new. My '23 has an ever growing list of crap that's either missing, poorly assembled or already broken at 600 miles. All attempts to contact Dodge have resulted in silence, dealer is 'waiting on parts' some of which are on back order with no estimated ship date.

At least I finally got the dealer to document it all & the clock is running, got my Lemon Law pkg ready to submit the day they cross the line !

All of a sudden they will become your best friend to try and have you miss the deadlines for filing.

Cadillac tried it on me. Lied and never stopped lying. Isuzu pulled the same shit back around 2000.

I'm sure Dodge will do the same.

Yeah, they all respond differently. Infiniti flew some sort of super tech here to go over the car with me (on a day of my choosing !!), had the dealership bumble-fucks stepping and fetching. At one point the SM objected to something he wanted to do/order, the tech dude pulled him aside & they had words. After that he just followed the guy around and took notes . Dude flew back when all the parts were in to oversee the fixes + they gave me an extended warranty.

Ferd was just the opposite, pissed & moaned, dragged their feet, said they were going to go to arbitration then caved 3 days before the meeting & agreed to 100% buyback.

The BBB folks were VERY helpful with both cars !!

Based on what I've seen so far, Dodge is going to be like Ferd and drag it out as long as possible hoping I just go away.
But I'm retired, so nothing to do & all day to do it + now I'm pissed as hell and ready for a fight to the death !!

Ferd tried that too, but I was done with the car & them & laser focused on getting 'out'. I'm at the same point with this deal, all the joy has been sucked out & I just want it done & gone from my life.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My instinct told me that I was going to have a bad situation and end up with nothing. Sucks.

Yeah, $92k sticker sold at 1300mi for $77k, should have bought a RE.

I have looked at quite a few 21's in my area that are Below 80K with less then 10K miles. Only dealers are marking them up to 85K and above.
A few delusional sellers are still thinking they are going to get 100K for they're low mile 21.

With those who bought the 23 with the idea to hold it 10 years or so getting ready to dump them on the market so they can buy the 24, I think prices will drop big time for the 21 and the 23.

Seems to be an intentional, heavy downward push on all used car prices right now.

It could work out for you, assuming they are raising the prices as stated, maybe 100K for a VL mile 23 will be reasonable next year.
Depends on how many other guys decide to dump them in favor of a 24 or hold on to them, even if the last call thing didn't apply any more.

Hell, they raised the price on mine a couple of times between when I ordered it and picked it up.

The miles on it I can't do much about (legally) so it'll be at least 18 on the odometer.

It wasn't the dealer's fault that the price increased, and I got it for the agreed upon price at the time I ordered.
