Good Morning All!
I have been searching for a forum post that is similar to the instance I have occurring, seen a few but they seem different... Long story short, I had a parasitic drain on my battery resulting in the car being dead, usually I had it plugged into the tender for long periods of sitting but since it was just driven a week prior I did not. I have replaced the battery and now have the diagnostic code P2172, I am aware of what this code is however the car has low miles and is never ran hard and problem free, just simply appeared after the car was dead. It fires up fine and within 30 seconds begins to sputter, assuming this is the "limp mode", with check engine light on as well as flashing voltage light. Has anyone experienced this in a similar fashion and found a simple corrective action. I have a code reader en route this week, wondering if clearing the code will (possibly) return the car to normal or if there is a legitimate fix that needs to be made at the dealership (which I hate). Thank you all for your time!
