Trackhawk Flat Tire.... Is This Repairable?

Ha this is what my stock tire looked like when I removed it..... Have no idea how this happened.
Maybe it was a defective tire but shit it looks like someone cut a square right out of my tire with a knife....
Shit almost sent me into the guard rail..... So much for Run-Flats ha. Sounded like a grenade went of TBH.....

Looks like a defect. Luckily, you didn't crash it or cause further damage.

I think it was Pirelli, they took the date code so you couldn't file for warranty replacement. Looks like the bead is cracked all the way around the tire. Premature dry rot seems pretty common in these eco friendly tires.

I had a low mileage Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar Summer (performance) tire that went flat on me. It had some cracks in between the treads that leaked air but I found more cracks on the sidewalls. Upon further inspection I found similar cracking on all the tires! I did get a prorated credit from Goodyear towards more tires but it wasn’t enough to cover more than 50% of the replacement. The Summer performance tires do not do well in temperatures under 45 degrees but that was not the cause. I had another set of wheels and Michelin A/S4 tires that I put on the car from November to April. I kept the Summer tires in my climate controlled garage for the Winter months. Maybe you could have hit something? In either case, I would check the other tires closely for any cracks in the sidewalls and look between the treads.

Looks like one segment infused in the segmented mold didn't want to stay put. Then the steel belts kept the entire section from coming off.

Never seen anything like that before, but then I've always got rid of any run flat tires as soon as possible.

Man it was a grenade going off felt like I snapped a control arm cause the truck nose dived to the right with instant 0 tire pressure lol yea fun times.....

Couldn't have been all that bad.

Technically you still had about 14.7 psi in it.
