However, what's not clear to me is how credible the statements are in the first place.

Do other members know the people making the statements?

Are the cars really FCA cars or might there be a 3rd party involved with some minor tuning?

It wouldn't take much to add ~47hp (from the 808hp base) via a tune.

Even if this does turn out to be real, how credible are 5 Unicorn cars going to be out in the world?

Machran is right. Marketing. Hype. Interest. My thought would be they'd have to do it without stabbing the Demon guys in the back and keep credibility after promising they'd be buying the ultimate/fastest gas powered production car for 6 figures. This way they can do it and say it never truly was a production car. Last hurrah?
