Unbelievably, I have seen one Lucid Air locally (small town with a pop of 27,000) but I do not know enough about them to know if it was a sapphire or if they are all sapphires. I have not seen a 170 in the wild, only at shows or Radford.
This result does not surprise me at all but the Lucid still has NO SOUL!!!!

There are a few of them running around town, I think they are HQ'd in Arizona so I think they are more common here in the southwest. This is the worst looking $250k car ever! The performance is incredible though.

Running 9.70’s in the 170 on Famoso prep is just weak. Did they have to find the slowest 170 in existence ? Ron Silva in any of his previous and current 170 would have been a different story. Do these guys even know that ? The lucid is impressively fast, but at least get a representative 170 to do this shit 🙄

That seems to be the theme of all hellcat/redeye/Demon vs. videos, The Mopar is never driven well. Oh well, I love it when people think my car is as slow as the youtube videos and magazines show LOL

For the price I would expect some amount of exterior styling, but nope…just a plain and large Toyota Prius. I’ve seen a few around town and the plain oval styling makes it appear dated.

All sorts of folks in Texas are finding out what happens to their EVs when there’s no power too; they’re completely useless once the charge is gone. Sure gas pumps don’t work either when the power is out but you can’t have a 5-gallon can of electricity in your garage for emergencies either, can ya?

Add in polling is showing a significant amount of EV owner’s regret their purchase for a number of reasons and the incentives to buy them will like evaporate sometime early January next year 😈 and this whole EV push was nothing more than a whole bunch of woke garbage about “fossil fuels” (another completely made up phrase) subsidized to the tune of million/billions of taxpayer dollars…

Hybrids on the other hand are definitely a more viable alternative, maybe if the entire infrastructure of our country wasn’t 50 years (if not more out of date) we could support EV usage appropriately, but that ain’t happening now, gotta make sure foreign invaders on terrorist watchlists are staying in luxury hotels with prepaid credit cards, 3 meals a day and a cell phone when US citizen homeless, of which a significant portion are veterans, continue to rot in our streets.

Tom Bailey was driving the 170, no slouch and owns a 170 himself but I think he's used to all the aids a custom built race car provides.

Also, if this was filmed in the past couple weeks, DA would have been 3000+ I think.

How long before they figure out you still need some styling selling cars no matter how it is powered. I think of the new charger coming and if they would have stayed with the same door lines like the current one how much better it would look then flat sides
