Would be interesting to accurately measure that magnetic pull cold, and then again when hot. Magnets loose their pull when heated, which is when you need it most for your application.

You're correct. I asked Mike about that. He uses magnets that have an N-grade of "SH".

Edited for correctness:

Neodymium magnets hold 100% of their field strength up to 80C (176F).
Above 80C their field strength begins to degrade at a rate of 0.11% loss per 1C rise in temp--up to their "max working temp". As long as they don't exceed their working temp, the field strength is fully recovered as it cools.
Above the max working temp the field loss begins to become permanent--up until they reach their "Curie" temp at which point they are fully demagnetized.

"SH" grade have a max working temp of 150C (302F)--thus by then they've lost 7.7% of their field strength.

See here and here for some info.

That they do lol
During a supercharger change, I dropped one of my lifting rings and for the life of me could not find it. I had to take the lower covers off and to my surprise, It still didn’t fall out, WTF!! Where did it go!!! And then I saw why, It got sucked into the black hole lol

Turned some more fuel in to noise today, man I love driving this car. Several young kids asked me to "rev it" at red lights and jaws dropped when I did. Good to see young folks interested in these cars.

Surprised to see my local Speedway E85 test E85 still this late in the year as well. Can't beat it at $2.29/gallon.

I purposely drive 4hrs round trip to my trusted speedway in Barkeyville, PA off I-80 because since 2016 I have NEVER...AND I MEAN NEVER...had a batch test under like E82. EVER.

I love speedway. Every one we stopped at on the Drag Week route were all 85% too.

Ours has been going to 70% in the winter, but I'd have thought they woulda changed over by now. I'll keep checking to see when. Car makes full power on E65 so E70 is actually perfect for a little over head.

Just filled on Sunday and noticed down to E68, it was E74 on average. At some point I will switch over to straight pump gas so I don’t have corn fuel just sitting over winter, depending how the weather plays out I will run corn as long as I can.

Noice. Those plugs are legit. I have a full set waiting that I didn't get mine installed in time before drag week so that'll be the first thing in the spring...

...you know. Besides getting the curb rashed wheel from the lane automotive burnout replaced. LOL.

I've not touched the plugs in the 170 except to check gap on a couple. They were .031 to .032 and I've not had a single problem. I'm not sure why some do and some don't....fuel maybe?

I checked all mine on my late build GoMango D170. I had them changed by the dealer, so I have no idea what cylinder each plug came out of. MOST were .031-.032. But there were a few that were gapped bigger and 2 or 3 that were.035. I think there will be issues if both those .035 plugs were installed in the same cylinder. Simple, no?

BTW my car ran perfect, but I just had them change them out for insurance. I also LIKE the Champions. I like the design better than the NGK's. This is just me being ignorant.

I always ran NGKs in my other supercharged Gen 3 Hemis and never had any problems, but I'm not having problems now so not sure what to do. I've been waiting on the dealership status to stabilize before proceeding. I heard they used original Champions as replacements, then Bosch R9 like come in a Redeye, and finally NGKs but no good solid info other than scattered end user reports.

Any news on the updated calibration? Mine's running so well I'm afraid to mess with it lol.

I've been watching the BAT auctions on 170s and they've been dropping down to much more reasonable prices. This is gonna allow me to lower my agreed value on insurance and save several hundred bucks at renewal.

The Plugs that my dealer ordered using my VIN were exact Champion replacements using the called for part number.
What you want is to use the part number given on the TSB. That I am guessing will be the Bosch plugs. The number is different.

I have not heard anything on the Calibration update. I hate to bug my source. I would just ask any time you have the car into the dealer. I have my reasons but I am going to refuse the update for now. But, Wilder did say he has made passes in a development mule with the update and it was worthwhile.

Cleetus beat on this thing for almost 3 hours straight, in a TRX, with paddles at all 4 corners! lol
Realistically it almost sounded like the blower failed. If they pull the belt it may turn over.
It was the blower! Motor fired up once they removed the belt.
