Yeah yeah I know the wash and wax thread with many opinions and options. And this is not a question about PPF. I flip cars way too much to justify PPF which leaves me with wax the car option. Most of my vehicles sit out side with the exception of a few and I rotate a few inside and outside as well. My question to all here is what the average life of your wax or paint protection? And for many here you may not be able to answer this since you park your car in the garage all the time. I try and use many products all the time and damn if everyone of them IMO is smoke and mirrors. In hindsight I should have started my own Snake Oil Car Wash and Wax business. And damn i30 years ago I was selling a product called Dri-Wash’N’ Guard a Waterless Car Wash product. It was one of the first spray on wipe off a dirty car product that not only cleaned the surface but put a protective coat as well. I did this for close to two years knocking on doors and waking in and out of every automotive related business. It never gained traction to make me a decent living and had to move on. I detailed cars as well at that time and learned a lot about the car polishing and detailing business. Fast forward to present times and I regularly wash my cars now more than I did so many years ago. I use all types of cleaners and waxes and just this month I ordered a product called “The Last Coat”. And yes it presented as the longest lasting protective coat over anything else. I have applied this to two of my vehicles last night and tonight and have labels the dates to see just how long it lasts. I will be amazed if it lasts 3 months amd for the most part all the other waxes and protectants last about 2 months. Summing it up thought I would share and will look back in this post in a few months and give you my answer.

kinda like what David Lee Roth used to do. And this is a true story he would send the set up crew for the next tour a complete detailed manual on how everything was to be set up for the concert. In the very back of the details he would instruct to have a bowl of M&Ms waiting for his arrival. In the final details he said no BROWN M&Ms which was the attention to detail. Half the time he would arrive to the set up crew for the preview and sure enough brown M&Ms in the bowl which told him the set up crew screwed up something up as well.
