And do the M6 folks miss this as a thing? Obviously the liability back to the manufacturer is a non starter to have this on stick cars, but you would think with all the tech out there now, there would be a way to safely have remote start on manual cars.

I mean, it does exist in the aftermarket world.

I like remote start and HUD but that is not an option with Dodge.

I don't mind remote start...as long as it only works when I'm in the vehicle, so I can hear, feel and smell, that everything's like it should be at the startup.

I love remote start, especially on those hot summer days when I can get the car cranked up and a jump on the a/c running before I get there.

Hmm. Now you made me wonder if my A/C works. Can't recall ever turning it on.

I don't remote start when I leave my house but do it when I am walking to my car from my office. I like to monitor the occasional smoke at startup...I know, lame, but true.

Use it every morning..
Really handy when it's cold out.
Seats and steering wheel are heated by the time you sit in it.

I don't even drive mine when it's cold out. With the tires that are on it, it's a handful in the snow.
Besides, I don't want any salt crap on it.

Same here.....that's why I'm shopping for another truck or suv. Those storms across the other parts of the Country seemed to come early this year and fortunately didn't reach me....but they eventually will. I just put some different rims and all season tires on my car, but I really don't want to have to drive it when the bad weather comes.

I use mine at nearly every start. Helps with warm up to operating temp before hitting the road. I also admire the blue puff of smoke every few starts...

I use it every day and try to use it every time I start the car.

1. Hearing it start from the outside is superior to the inside.
2. The idle has settled down by the time I get into the car - not waiting for the high idle to drop.
3. AC or HEAT, as well as the seats (and steering wheel) have a chance to prepare for me.
4. It'll automatically shut the car off is something is awry - hood open, door open, trunk open, CEL, low fuel... so it is a chance to look over the vehicle more closely before leaving.
5. It warns the kids that if their asses aren't in their seats, they don't go for a ride.
6. It warns the wife that she has at least another 20 minutes of screwing around before I get sick of playing with the car.
7. If someone planted a bomb on the car it'll blow up before I get into it... thwarting my enemy's plan of killing me and allowing me to get revenge while they think I'm dead.

That's right...you should always be on the lookout....

I use it mostly for cold mornings on my other cars. I would not be comfortable leaving this in neutral which is the only way it can work with aftermarkets.

Only time I have used it is to demo the startup sound for people. Useless otherwise.
