Worked up the courage to look at the photos again, before dinner no less.
Looks like they borrowed the rear window from the Toyota FJ 55.

I hated that dial shifter in my last two Ram 1500's.

I still hate mine. Six years later I still reach for a real shifter on the column.
My fault for not having swapped it out for a floor shifter by now.

It'll work, I looked into it. May need an "extension cord", or not, and the console for a 1500 and a shifter from (probably) just about any 8-speed. I looked at Jeep ones.

Butt-ugly front-end. Lousy dial shifter noone wants. Wonder if anyone on the design team has ever seen a Wagoneer

Almost looks like the someone was embarrassed by what they came up with design-wise, Nothing about it says Jeep, other than the grill

Getting away from "Jeep" might also be required because they want to make this a luxury vehicle. A flagship luxury vehicle.
Those dial shifters and all that bull shit is on every luxury car out there. But im just a poor ass peasant, this isn't aimed at me.

I do......and I'm happy to share it with her.....but what about @1971demon ? His wife might get upset if doing a good deed involves that young lady sitting on his lap.....

My wife has...absolutely NO sense of humor when it comes to such things...

Never had that dial a gear thing in any of my cars, though I've seen it in the GT and other things. Not a big fan of that. At least in the HC I have a fake T handle.

my last ram1500 had the dial...took me two years to get used to it...now my 2500 ram...is a column shift...wish i had a nickel every time i backed out the drive way..and engaged the 4 wheel lock...

As mentioned, I generally travel alone. I also wouldn't put her in the back seat, but next to me, so no need for any extra doors.

The one thing with modern cars, though, is that the shifter generally isn't conducive to be part of the fun.

Hmmm...dont really know...but I only use 2 doors to get in and outta my house too...I must be weird...

I like the interior (minis the rotary dial gear selector). The exterior......I guess it’s “ok” to me.
