One owner – 53,607 miles

6.0 Liter LS2 mated to A4 transmission

MP112 Magnuson supercharger with intercooler
Upgraded injectors
Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump
Kooks ceramic coated long tube headers
High-flow racing catalytic converters
Resonator delete; replaced with X-pipe
Mufflers replaced with racing bullets
Subframe connectors / jacking rails

PCM and Trans tuned by Chuck Anders at House of Power in Houston
Dyno sheets show 450 hp / 450 ft lbs of torque at the wheels (550/550 at the crank)

Two ignition keys and one glove compartment key (rubber on one key wearing through)

Two Aeroforce scan gauges mounted in internet dash binnacle (better binnacles out there if desired). Currently set to show IAT, Boost/vacuum, coolant temp, and voltage. Original binnacle mount cover plate included in sale.

Hard wired Beltronic RX65 radar detector included in sale
Dashhawk instrumentation and trouble code reader and mount included in sale

Set of 4 staggered Beyern chrome wheels
245 40 ZR 18 Ventus V12 Evo tires up front
275 35 ZR 18 Michelin Pilot Sport tires on the rear

JHP Australian trunk lid mounted wing (original surf board wing included in sale)
Rear valence painted flat black

Two OEM wheels with BFGoodrich drag radials included in sale

Passenger’s door locking mechanism binds intermittently. Must lock and unlock the door by hand from inside the car. Complete locking assembly included in sale (have not bothered to install it)

Asking $17K. Already had a guy walk in the store and offer $14,700 cash. We'll see. I am bummed to even selling it, but it needs an owner that will use it. Would hold on to it for my kids to drive as their first car (hahaha, 17 year olds in a 550 HP car????) but besides the obvious issues with that idea, more importantly it does not have the latest safety features.

No test drive. Guy said he knew the car was the complete package. He will pick up all the extras that go with the car in the next few days. Paid the $16K in cash. I'm conflicted.

Left his truck at the store, will come back later to get it.

Yes, and what fun that was. I still remember one where the AMG was doing a sneaking hard charge and going to pass me up on the outside; the GTO laid into it stopped his charge and pulled away. Guy laughed, flashed his lights, and gave a thumbs up.

I am conflicted. I saw him later in the day when I was on the way to my friends shop. He was blasting down 3rd street in the rain (yikes) honked and waved. Damn the car still looks and sounds amazing.

Anyway, it's gone. The way he just coughed up the money makes me think I should have asked for 18, which was my initial thought. But 16 is not that bad. That's 40% of what I put into it, purchase, parts, labor, etc..., and it is 14 years old.

Take the money...and don't look back...the problem here..(as always)..you traded a cool car for a small pile of cash..(unless its in singles..then its a big box)..and in no time you will chip away at the cash....and soon...poof..its gone...then comes the sellers remorse...and all thats left is the memories..as it should be...(can you tell I'm bored):p:p:p

Good fast sell, nothing wrong with that, but it does hurt, letting something go that you've put a lot of time & money into. It is for me anyway.

I got a little misty eyed when I watched my ‘04 SC GTO drive away. I’d done all the work myself and had it for 13 years. But when I picked up the Hellcat the next day, the pain suddenly disappeared.

You know the gto was made in Australia, over here they are called Holden commodore.

I remember Holden execs were proud to be selling muscle cars to the USA.

The commodore is based on the German opel.

We got some of them with the lsa motor fitted.

The 2 doors were known as Holden monaro.

Now we dont make any cars in australia, the holden gm and ford plants closed down a couple of years ago.

The only full time production plant is converting rams to rhd under licence from fca.

Now its all imports.....

Yep, I know all that. Have a photo here someone of the last off the line before they shut it down. Bob Lutz had a Monaro as a rental when he was in Australia on a trip (surprised he drove himself actually) and he went back to the US saying lets bring this in for a few years while the F-body is out of production here. They did it, but inept marketing and ridiculous ADM and stuff killed sales. I remember several dealers in Houston that wouldn't let you test drive the car without paying $100 or even $200 bucks. Once they put the LS2 in it, it was top notch!

Styling lacked interest...small..... bloated....rounded...performed well...surprisingly roomy interior...the car just lacked personality...

It also had some kinship with the Opel-ish Cadillac Catera.
