I’m going to guess it’s a Hellephant car. The Factory Stock Drag Pac cars are virtually full chassis cars now that they are in the 7’s. The added expense and level of competition have put those into the realm of the pro racers. I’m guessing that this is aimed at the sportsman/hobby racer. Not street legal and a good place for somebody who wants to run a 9.0 drag car.

Are Drag Paks available to the public at large with deep pockets? I mean im asking for a friend. Im more private at small with no pockets but it’s fun to dream.

I’ve seen some of the more recent supercharged versions at around $120k. The older N/A Drag Packs are pretty cheap. The hype I just saw on this one said 426 ci and1000, hp so that pretty much says what’s in there. You can guess it’s not for the street as there are no side mirrors and of coarse the Hellephant isn’t going to be legal for a new vin street car. It will be interesting to see just how Drag pack it will be as far as suspension and drive line goes. Anyone who has followed the F/S class with the COPO’s and Cobrajet’s has seen them go from the basic Sportsman chassis cert of 8.50 to requiring the much more extensive 7 second cert. I was looking at one of the new CJ’s and it might as well have been a Pro Stock. A strong running basic 100 octane Hellephant in a 8.50 cert Drag Pack will push that 8.50 time slip without the ridiculous cost of where the current class has gone. I know I’m going to want one but my ship is already afloat so I’ll just have to contain myself.
