The Year that wasn’t but was

What a peculiar year it has been being a Mopar fan and lover. It’s truly hard to believe the 2020 426 wasn’t delivered. The 2020 Anniversary edition wasn’t delivered of any greatness. The former Hellcat.org wasn’t the same and an understatement to say the least. Charger WB Hellcat wasn’t giving the Demon motor oh I’m sorry I mean the Redeye lol.
The RAM TRX wasn’t available again still waiting damn. The Trackhawk wasn’t given the Redeye motor. Former Hellcat.org members wasn’t allowed to have any input on the change at the old forum.

What was a great thing is finding a replacement forum which is truly awesome. The Dodge HP dollars was an opportunity for me to purchase a Redeye which was awesome. I was amazed at no super duper something over the top revealed which made me feel I was correct on buying my Redeye now. The announcement of a merger was anticipated. I picked up the new Jeep Gladiator and was amazed of the difference in driving from a regular Jeep Wrangler. I sold my new Chevy Silverado and was blessed to pickup a leftover 19 Ram 1500 Limited that just kills the Chevy. The future of the Challenger was and still is debatable on the date and release of a refresh. The GT500 was a debatable release with mixed reviews and thoughts and yes I ordered one lol. The loss of former forum members from the other site was anticipated. What happened to good old White Trash lol. The envy of the other wannabe manufacturers was expected but haven’t delivered and yeah I know the C8 hmmm I’ll pass lol. The talk of EV more than ever was boring and ICE is delivering more fun thank god. Summing it up this was the most unexpected year of me picking up cars and trucks and parting as well. That’s some of my thoughts and chime in on what wasn’t and was your year.

As much as I'd LOVE to own something like that....I wouldn't know what to do with it. Cost big bucks just to insure it sitting in a humidity controlled bubble. And if you ever dared to try and DRIVE the thing.....Selling it to someone with more money than they knew what to do with would most likely be my plan...

Had my 4th back surgery.
Sold my beloved 72 Plymouth Duster.
Military disability increased and social security disability approved.
My relationship with my daughter and only child ended.😢
Traded my beloved 2008 SRT8 Challenger #904.😖
Purchased a 2019 Redeye Challenger and I truly regret it.
5th back surgery scheduled for December.
There are some other things to personal to mention just know they are not good.
I’ll be glad when this one is over.

You know the guy that bought it sent it off to a major Mopar guy in Minnesota for a little work right after purchase, don't think he even drove it! This car was apparently seized from a drug lord many years ago and it sold for like $3-400k about 20 years ago. Been in collectors hands ever since. @DGatzby was it there that time we were there a few years ago? I just saw it still sleeping when I was back home in the spring.

Ha, I was busy yesterday and did not look. Plus it sure looks better in the sun! Yep, I fondled it for quite a while.. Eric even watched! Never been driven, still has the bone stock tires on it. It sure lives among some very, very interesting others also. Detective #797 has pictures

No it isn't hard to believe, and enjoy your Challenger 50 badge. Could something come out mid-MY? Maybe, but unlikely - the market has adjusted to reflect that without significant discounts these cars have found just about all the buyers they are going to. Will we see another 3, 4, 5, 6 thousand people enter the market this year and buy one (maybe more with more Power Buckaroos)? Sure - but, manage your expectations about what the market will command and what Dodge deems it prudent to invest in (especially with a merger pending) as it relates to specialty trims. So incremental changes are a what we all get for now.
