People weren't about VIN's and other nonsense, just to make money. Just old used-up racecars. Anybody who had a factory race-car, had some amount of support. All the guys I know who had factory racecars, bought them for a dollar.
Mine was bought for a buck. I have the paperwork, somewhere.

Exactly. A friend of mine who's parents had an AMC dealership was given a race prepared AMX to run on the NHRA Super Stock circuit.

That car is over restored though. They were pretty but they were well used race cars. Great 10 footers.

Saw them race a few times @ our local 1/8 track....they were always pristine...
