15% underdrive accessory pulley for ATI damper

Ah, yes, but you never know if/when such a gem will be available again, now do you?

That was my mindset when I ordered one. I don't mind sitting on some gold until I get the ATI damper. Heck, I might get a couple ATI's: an OD and a normal one.

But, until then, my UD accessory pulley is OTW.

Just for reference if you buy say the 10% overdrive kit then all you have to buy is the standard size shell which they sell separately and you could swap back and forth if you wanted too . That was my original plan but once the 10% went on and I had the car running excellent I ended up selling the stock size shell lol

I wonder if belt speed is a limitation to having a 20 percent OD blower pulley... or 30 percent... or if the IHI blower will grenade...

The IHI is essentially as Critical Speed already, overdriving it any at all is pushing it.

Obviously many many people are doing it with success, some are not...

My pulley is on the way this week from HPIndy. Haven't done this since way back in the day with a Neon. I am actually quite surprised that no one makes these as a regular option, as it is an obvious upgrade to any car.

And, it's the gift that gives more and more as the RPM's rise. Less belt speed, reduced wear and tear on alternator. I hope that the impeller for the water pump is designed so that it is not a problem, but running a water pump at high speeds can cause it to cavitate and thus reduce its pumping effectiveness, something Gale Banks ran into when hitting 200mph with a Firebird. Overheated and warped the cylinder heads. He used a different water pump impeller to mitigate this, adjusted gearing to hit peak power closer to 200mph, and he got 'er done.

This was from back in the day when Gale Banks was turbocharging gasoline engines. Strangely, he seems to have abandoned gasoline engines entirely.

I have power steering, 2016 era, so i will let you know if it negatively impacts the low-speed steering capabilities.

Zero impact on low speed (or stopped) with the power steering! I too have the hydraulic power steering. Once installed you never know it's there .

Underdrive pulley? So people won't overrev the supercharger at 12,000RPM?

It's for the Accessories, (Alternator, Water Pump A/C & P/S), not the Supercharger.
