I SOLD Roxanne today, 8/25/25. 8 years to the day that I bought her, 8/25/17.
It's going to be strange for a while not seeing her in the garage or going for a ride.
I get attached to my sport cars, then it's hard to let go.
Since 16 yo for 48 years I've always had a sports car until now & nothing else interests me either.
The 9 second Hellcat has spoiled me for the price range that I can afford.
It's a sad day for me but it was the right thing for me to do now.
It will take me time to get over it but I will live, LOL.
It feels like a death in the family but really not as bad as that.
I'll still be hanging around here seeing what everyone else is doing.

I nick named my HC Roxanne from the Police song. For when I raced her at the track. "Roxanne, you don't have to turn on the Red Light, Roxanne"
When Houston Raceway Park shut down here is when I started losing interest in her.
That's what I / we did. Without that I just didn't drive it much.
Started riding Motorcycles with a group of guys & really enjoy the freedom of it.

Your right, it can be dangerous. I think riding in a group is a little safer. We all have extra lights & brake lights on our bikes which makes us more visible. Our riding group is anywhere from 3 to 15 when most can make it.
But no matter what we do for safety, something can still happen. We do ride very defensively with head on a swivel.

The day after selling Roxanne, I'm in the garage cleaning my bike from last weekends ride, listening to the radio, and guess what played on the radio?
"Roxanne".
I haven't heard that play in a long time.
It hit me in a weird way, as if she was still reminding me to not forget about the memories of us screaming down the 1/4 mile track. What fun that was.
Strange how that kind of stuff happens where a song suddenly plays and reminds us of a old friend or good times from the past.

Enjoy my friends, it doesn't last forever.
