Thoughts and opinions on oil analysis much welcomed.

Edit: Thanks Speedy for letting post up on your thread it truly is well documented, with great pics videos. Far better than my pics. If I post up again I will make sure pics aren’t dark like most above.

Here it is along with few other pics of “White Ice” it will not read that on the IP plate on dash, it’s just what I call it because of body color and one of the last true Dodge Ice Hurrah, literally because of Dec 12 Build.

Blackstone report, and a few pics of car off trailer from picking it up, First order of business remove banana peal wrapper that’s on stone wall then later on all other shipping protection. Send to PPF shop. Wait for sand on roads from NE winters to be washed away, Follow proper break in, change oil early @ 730 miles, open filter inspect especially with questionable 170 metallic oil debates.

Full nose with Expel Ultimate, doors, lower quarter in front/behind rear MT tires, 30% Tint. Now at 1280 miles. Getting close to the magic 1500 mi.

@Demoniccat car looks great.

Your analysis looks like a new engine analysis to me. Take a look at NJSteve's from his Redeye a couple posts above yours. His had WAY more copper for some reason and other stuff is very close.

I may do an analysis on my next oil change at 2,000 miles.

I saw his post. I would not worry about the copper unless it was sky high, then I would be concerned with rod & main bearings. Especially if the numbers didn’t go down proportionately with oil changes

Oil report looks GREAT to me especially for a first change 700+ mile break in factory fill. I’d keep doing them every change. Me, I’d change the oil after first track day beating or at the very least draw a hot sample through dipstick after the days play and judge from its report when/if to change it.👍🏻

Thanks for input there are several folks here I would take advice from you happen to be one of them. Hopefully this oil uncertainty fades away as reliability proves itself. I plan to keep doing oil analysis.

Just got an email from Dodge Garage followed shortly by one from Radford that the free 2 day drag race school for the Demon 170 is now available to those that purchased the car.

Looks like getting the 9 sec license is also included. I'll have to look into this. Had fun at the 2 day driving school when I went.

Maybe we can get a few of us scheduled together.

Bring it on it’s a small crowd that should be bigger. I am in for learning more while having a good time. I was already panning for it. Sounds like the 170 cars will be on site. I think that was the hold up.

Exactly why I would wait until late fall early winter. The folks doing the 170 thing is all about straight line ET conducive to best DA possible. More than likely why Vegas was chosen for 3rd week reveal last year for the 170, also drawing on the best possible attendance by having it near high profile accommodation. Definitely timing a location were Intentionally linked.

On another note I believe they just recently received 170s, so now it‘s going to jamb up bookings. Personally I have no interest in going out there until it will be reasonable DA. Even with the SRT track time covered from Dodge folks are looking at travel and accommodation expenses. So I say choose wisely to get best ET possible.

You'll never have good DA there, so if you're looking for good times those ain't it. This will be more training and licensing focused.

Totally agree, record setting or even close is unobtainium at Vegas. Reasonable DA is the wording even that is marginal. Most are looking to get licensed at 9s as you said, for me personally am looking for fall or winter, but I can’t be choosy if the bookings available aren’t my liking. I will take what I can at that point.

We have 3 years to register. I figure I'll wait for the initial rush to pass.

Fall or even winter is probably booked, haven’t even looked into it yet. I’ll call wk to see how far out booking is. I expect it will be. So I will wait or see if pencil in for cancellations are possible. If not NBD

I may do an analysis on my next oil change at 2,000 miles.

Here's the second oil analysis on the Redeye engine at 1,600 miles: Copper slightly lower by 8 PPM. Oil tested was Mobil1 0W40 with around 1,000 miles on it. I have another oil change coming up soon. Car has 2100 on it now Pennzoil 0W40. I may do the TBN on that to see what the additive package shows for effectiveness. (Update: I changed the 500-mile oil yesterday and I am sending the sample out today. Nothing much more than a slight residue found on either of the magnetic drain plugs (pan & cooler). Cutting open the filter later today for a look-see.)
