Did my winter prep. Went for a nice ride, got everything heated up. Added a bottle of Stabil and topped off fuel. Up onto the Quick Jack for an oil change, summer tires off. Tomorrow Ill detail the wheel wells, calipers, and whatever else needs tidying up. Vacuum the interior and treat the leather. Pirelli junks go on, then the cover. That’s that. Roadrunner next weekend perhaps. IMG_0148.jpeg

I opened the hood
Put on the trickle charger
Thought about the guys here working on these cars
Looked for the spark plugs
Closed the hood when I could not find them

Then I may have had a beer like Old Mopar Guy

There are no spark plugs. There is no Santa Claus. There is no tooth fairy. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.... You just need to BELIEVE!!! :)

Got my end of season detail a few days ago. Finally have all the junk off of and out of it from sitting in shops for months and months. So nice to see her shine again after the year I had with it. Feels like a real cleansing this season.

@2ndAmend posting proof of squeaky clean wheels for you or you’d never believe it otherwise.

Full tank of 93, tires all at about 45 PSI and I just got done hooking it up to the CTEK tender.

Is it spring yet? IMG_5943.jpeg

Just kidding! I really hope to see the Purple Monster go at the dragway and Loring! So, which one of us will see 9's and 200 first? You could have been there already! :)

Looks great! Can't wait to see it go! Did you get new DR's?

Haha. Might just be a matter of who stages first in April. I’ll definitely be there. Waited long enough for that slip. Should be an easy 9 on the fresh rubber if NED does their part.

Jon and I swapped and dialed in a 2.75 pulley in October which puts me back at 15 PSI, up from 13 where I had slid down to with the long tubes, ported heads, etc. We’re really making a lot of steam with it and it’s now pump gas limited. He’s got a lot of headroom to play with on the race gas tune though.

Same Nittos. Just cleaned and shined up!

LOL! I don't understand most of it! You now own a MONSTER! Beyond my pay grade!

I was talking about the MT Street R's. I don't think your old ones will see the track again!

Oh ya. Those are way done and were showing cords. Go figure I couldn’t hook :ROFLMAO:

I have a fresh set I bought a few months ago ready to go.

How do you know when these are actually done? I think I have a few passes left but not sure.

When the center of the tire looks like this and you’re cutting 2.5 second 60 foots :)

I would go by the wear bars, honestly. Mine went to cords shortly after it hit them so it’s pretty accurate. Also, depending on how old they are, the compounds change and the tires will age out and and fall off quickly even if you’re not using them so keep that in mind as well.

Time to start paying attention. Been a month since it was pulled off the road. That lithium battery did not give a shit. It was like it started yesterday. I may rethink a trickle charger and just juice it once a month. I’ll check its voltage tomorrow.

Got the jacks under it. Had to sort of insulate it from any potential salt water drainage from the Jeep that parks next to it. That is what ruined my first QJ. So that is the reason for all the wood etc. I think those KW springs have had it. They are sagging too low, I only have them in the front. I am going to go spring shopping this winter.:giggle:

I will get it up off its feet tomorrow, get the tires/wheels off and let it rest for a while. After the holidays it gets a coat of some good stuff, change the oil, send a sample off. This will be the first sample that it did not have a hot track day to show. It has been just a nice road ride. So I am interested to see the difference in materials it sheds on track weekends. May even play with an alignment idea or two after some spring work.;) This car has some laps to do in 2025.

Added Stahlbus Oil Cooler Drain Valve to the oil cooler as I hate using an adjustable to hold the block while removing the drain bolt. Already have one on the oil pan so simple and clean oil changes going forward.

Great idea, I like them, but I am always afraid of these things. Too high tech for me! :)
