I see my car and spare engine that isn't covered in the background
Sounds like you didn’t cover it before you left 😂

As long as it hasn't been idling the whole time it'll be fine.

Dust washes off.

That was beautiful Sally, she died suddenly in my wife's arms 8 years ago at 9 years old. Apparently she had a problem, probably her heart. While all dogs like to run ahead when you go on walks, Sally would always lag behind. We thought it was her nature/personality, but after the fact we think it was a symptom. It was a great 9 years...
So sad, my condolences. Heart breaking moments, least you had some good years with her. 😞

The manton rockers have only been on since the 4th of July. I mean they might be overkill. But they look nice 😂
Yes these are thitek heads.
Beautiful, nice to see them before you throw the covers on them. Quality parts.

How much room do you have to shift the cradle, and how to you make sure it’s aligned straight?
That’s part of the reason this car has wheels now it significantly helps. If a jack stand gets moved it can be a rail pain. Sometimes just a small punch is enough. I’ve also thought maybe getting to bolts the same threads about 6inches longer might help.

Yeah, longer bolts to line it up sounds like it would help getting it lined up. Do you always put the cradle back in the same exact spot or does it not matter and you just get an alignment afterwards? I’m thinking of shifting my cradle over to driver side (as much as it can go, which probably isn’t much) to give a little more room for headers, don’t want any false knock when the engine torques over

I’ve done it both ways. I didn’t get an alignment last year and had no issue after I had it out. The year before I did an alignment.
