It's been a while since I drove one. Is it stick or auto?
18-speed. Only transmission I could find that has a very low 1st (good for the places I frequented) and enough OD ratio to go somewhat fast on the open road.

Anyway, while BULL helped you out, do you know why it's a tractor and not a truck?

Like a train, it pulls things along, mainly trailers.

Not quite. That would be a locomotive, and those pull cars. Except, maybe, in your two track mind.

Tractors are specifically designed to pull things with, whether it's a farm tractor or the OTR version.
And it's a tractor by default since there's no cargo area, which would make it a truck.

Anyway, that Pete was originally registered as commercial, until I figured out a way to register it as an automobile. That was $40/year instead of the $1,600 I had been paying. Plus no log book and all that nonsense.

Once here it was registered more correctly, as a motorhome. It was always used an RV.

They both pull things. Using it as an analogy.

Yes, you can register one as a private vehicle not requiring the nonsense. Happens all the time with auto racing teams.

Actually years ago the drag race haulers were given 24 hours to leave California before they were going to impound any that were registered as a RV.

Silly commies running money out of their state.

Just not a good one. Locomotives often push instead.

BULL made it easy for you, but what is this M1008? DSCN1668.JPG

And before I took 31 inches off of the frame.

One of these is a truck, the other is a pickup. You have a 50/50 chance here if BULL doesn't beat you to it. Dump1d.JPG

How do you know? Aren't you always sweating in Florida?

Nope. You really don't know the climate where I live.
