Walked the lot of a nearby CDJR dealer today. Lotsa $60k plus wranglers, $100k wagoneers, etc, and of course plenty of Challengers and Chargers. Every one has the dealer "Protection plan" at $994 that is basically a shot of Scotchguard on the seats. And a $1199 "Pre Delivery service fee. And of course each one has a line item for "Market Adjustment", so thats just gonna be an ongoing thing with these shady dealers now. The adjustment was $0 on the '23 Chal/Char stock of course. I absolutely hate to buy anything from a dealer in FL, most are so slimy

Mine had the $1199 “used car reconditioning fee” lmfao. Absolute scammers the fees are insane. I got it made up with my trade in though

Rarely does John Q Public get the best of a car dealer..if your really savy and dig yer heals in...chances are yer gonna walk out empty handed..(new or used)...and if yer tradin in..yer not gonna get over on em...and the guys that think they got the best deals...generally got hosed..

No one does. I simply got what I wanted and thought was fair. I had everything with all of the fees and my trade In laid out. I got them to increase the value of the trade in by a few thousand to cover some of the fees. The vehicle was priced well below market value. I do my homework, and not as “experienced” as you but wasn’t born yesterday lol. I looked yesterday and they’re selling the car I traded for $500 more than what I got for it + their fees.

Vast majority are clueless..followed by those only concerned with ..how much a month..they are the ones..that pay too much...for too long...and when their 9 yr. old 2500.00 car shits the bed...they still owe 9 grand on it....happens all the time...
