Things seem to change daily with all that's going on. We're 4 weeks from CF so I'll have to monitor and see what's going on 3 weeks from now and move the date if, God forbid, we're not in a much better place.
This is what I put on FB last week.
Rather than answer the individual questions I'll make the blanket statement here that ChallengerFest 2020 is not cancelled. We are 5 WEEKS from the event date and a lot can and will happen by then. Some other events that far out may be cancelling and I imagine that's a financial decision in most cases as they likely have contracts and deposits that must be paid and with the uncertainty they aren't willing to take the financial risk. ChallengerFest 2020 contracts were all signed in January and deposits have already been paid so there is no reason for us to consider cancelling the event 5 WEEKS out with as rapid as the situation is changing. If something does change, like the city of Bowling Green asks us to postpone or the situation hasn't drastically improved 5 WEEKS from now, we'll be sure to update both the website and this FB page to keep all informed. The additional rooms in our room block at the hotel are filling up and pre-registrations are still coming in daily. With that said, this is a car event page so I've asked my page admins to keep content clear and on topic. There is enough panic and hysteria to go around and we prefer not to propagate that here. If the situation hasn't drastically improved in the next 4-5 weeks we will all have much bigger problems to worry about than a drag race and car show. I'm keeping the country in my prayers and I encourage those of like mind to do the same.
