I agree 100%. I've had my SC for 53 years. In my younger days, I went to the drags on Friday eve and to beat the Chevies, was an absolute thrill. Amazing, that little Red/White/Blue Rambler was a serious contender...
Didn't care much for it when new...now it's cool for sure...

If I remember, I was turning about 14 in the quarter. I ran in ET's and Bracket on Friday evening, what a thrill. I had traction problems, even with big tires on the rear. The Chevy people always ask what kind of motor I had, 390 AMC, they gave me a funny look...
Please post another photo of it @RAMBLE1

The only FWD car I’ve ever owned. 2007 Monte Carlo SS for a daily driver. It was a big, roomy, comfortable car with great power coming from the 5.3 V8 and it sounded great as well.

120,000 miles never had a single issue other than it liked oil. Trans was slipping when I traded it in.

'03 Silverado 5.3 extend cab. The only time it failed was when my wife was driving home from work on 95 in MA, the OEM fuel pump puked. Had it for 21 years but it was too rusted to keep. Very comfortable, quiet, reliable, sad to lose it.
I have an "03" Yukon (spare plow vehicle)...165,000 mile rust bucket we call the war wagon...runs like a top...and drives like a Bently

13 years ago I got a smokin deal on a 74 Firebird Formula 400 4 speed. I couldn't pass it up especially being a stick shift guy. I put some money into it and it was well worth it. I'm MOPAR muscle through and through but I love my Firebird. It's so comfortable. It rides real nice. It looks good and runs great. 13 years later, I'm still driving it and enjoying it.

In "76"...cool DD's were far and few in between...bought my first and only Pontiac...76 TransAm 455...back then you could custom order everything (no group packages)..silver...bird delete..(extra 35.00)..honeycomb wheels..air..manual trans.black standard seats (didn't like the puffy optional seats) the standard seats were like the early 70's Z28 seats...and roll up windows..(was not a fan of power windows back then....it was a slug...but was a really fun DD back then

Either a 1985 Mustang SVO or a 85 Shelby Charger (Turbo 5 spd).
Both were new cars not long after I graduated high school and entered the Air Force, and for the day they were nice performance cars. Although not too expensive, they were still more than I could afford on an E2's salary... lol

I currently have an '08 Honda Fit that I kept from my mothers estate. I never really cared for it the handful of times I drove it when it was newer. We have a Ridgeline and Pilot and have owned Hondas for 30 years. Had this shipped from CA to PA for $1350. Rust free, gets over 30 mpg, just turned 118k miles and I drive the hell out of it.

Of all things, the TRX. Keep in mind that I don't like 1/2-tons and don't care for how the new ones look, but...

After trailering my girlfriend's home and looking at the hardware underneath I was very impressed. A-arms and such looked like they belonged on a 3/4 or 1-ton. Everything was much beefier than I had expected, so I ordered one, too.

It was supposed to be a vehicle capable of going somewhere during or after a snowstorm, even if the county plows were absent or overwhelmed (at least that's how I rationalized buying it), but it has grown on me. It's a fun car to drive even when the sun is shining on dry roads.

my '15 HC M6 is just a few weeks from its 10th b-day, not many original body panels remain [cat likes snackin' on venison...], and needs a little post hurricane paint work, but it'll be with me as long as my left leg can handle it. If/when it becomes physically impossible to drive, the Demon becomes my DD

wish I still had my '09 SRT8 M6, early build [1 Sep '08], so had a few recalls, also racked up quite a bit of roadkill related expenses [something about modern Challengers causes those damn demon-spawn deer to attack], but still a great car

This thread is not going the way I expected LOL. Was wondering who might step up and admit they sometimes enjoy driving the wife's Prius or the like. Still not decided on whether I'm gonna "come out of the closet" LOL here in detailing the car my wife got, that I kinda love to drive. :D

OK, I'll bite. In 1997 I needed a reliable car so I found a 1995 Honda Accord 2 door coupe. Black with a stick. Car was just under 2 years old. It turned out to be the best car I ever owned. So much so that I still own and drive it 27 years later. It's still mint and runs awesome. Excellent gas mileage, easy to drive, easy to park, cheap to insure, cheap to maintain and easy to work on. Honestly, I appreciate that car more now than I did when I bought it in 1997. It's just a simple, no non-sense car. They don't make simple cars anymore.

I'm very particular with my cars. I don't want any of them to see rain or snow. So......the Honda is my go to car whenever it's raining, need something at the store, going to the train station, etc.

I'll admit, I really like that car for what it does for me.

I'm not married, but if she bought a Prius I really wouldn't be married.

I may possibly not share my coming out story now, cause I can tell you're ready to pounce with the interwebs purse swinging and reasons why it's dumb on my part LOL!
