I understand the process is supposed to take a 1/2 hr or so, but how will know if they’ve actually done anything? Is there a process to test that the TSB install is actually working? Thanks.
Mine took about 40 minutes and yes they perform a validation test. Know they will only reprogram one FOB. If you want a second you will have to pay for it.

So just to be clear, in order to do the "rf lockout", as part of that, they reprogram your existing key fobs, but will only do one of the three that came with the car??
Sorry for being stupid, but that's so crazy it's baffling

Well that blows, he told me to bring all three so I’ll get back to you guys on that. Can’t imagine them making 2/3 of the fobs useless. I’ll have something to say about that.

Exactly what happened to me with my 18. I brought the 3 FOB's that came with the car and a couple others I purchased from Steve White motors. They programmed all the FOB's and then did the hub lockdown. They charged me 100 for programming those extra FOB's that I brought in. No extra charges so maybe they were nice or something has changed since.
Maybe they are doing them all if your car is still under warranty, but charging for the others ??
Sucks since their incompetence & cheapness caused the issue in the 1st place !
