I have the Legmaker intake on my car and so does Jon. Plan is to go to the track Wednesday and test it against the stock intake. DA is looking to be around 1500. Mine is stock Jon has E85 tune with a 2.85 pulley. My plan is to get in 2 passes then switch to stock intake for 2 passes then switch back if I think I need to. DA looks to be holding pretty close while we will be there

I’ll be logging my passes as well as video on my helmet for the eyes and ears.
Big things I’ll be watching is aircharge and boost. If boost goes up but aircharge stays the same that would be interesting.
Also temps especially with the staging lanes will be interesting and is my biggest concern.
Also be curious if I pick up boost or aircharge compared to @vortecd since I have a pulley.

Assuming a best case scenario of a cai making 30 more rwhp, how much do you expect to see that impact ET and or MPH?

I'm thinking at most would see a tenth 1 mph. Wouldn't be surprised if I see nothing. Now Jon makes 17 # of boost so way more air needs so maybe he will see something. I said before Racer X and B Mason both run the stock air box so we will see

Will be interesting, I've always "thought" the stock airbox is A OK for stock boost car, use a CAI if you like the look and or sound. Go up in boost and then a cai may help (IE Redeye and Demon get it from the factory) but even then I'm not sure how much but figure SRT wouldn't have gone to it unless needed (bean counters).

Spent sum time at MTSU chasing tail. On the way to Clarkesville, Tn from Chattanooga. Home base for a while. HS, college, marriage, and alot of wasted $$$ in between. Learning curve still curving to the left.

Redeye's are also getting air from the hood scoop so they had to have it opened on top

Honestly, I had 0 intentions of getting one. I look at things cost per hp. For the cost I could go to a 2.6 pulley and make way more power. But @vortecd sent me a used one last weekend and I do like the looks so I found it worth it.
Also I have a few things I need to do before even considering throwing a 2.6 on.

The amount of extra whine per dollar you get out of the LMI is worth it. Plus when you open the hood for some shmoe you got a nice carbon fiber piece instead of a rubber gasket with an air filter plucked in the middle. The charger you just get the black box which completely diminishes the whine.. plus on the charger the little tube that goes to the air filter box has to choke the car up. When I removed that piece of cr*p it broke in half lol.

Several Houston Hellcats have tested the aftermarket CAI vs factory and have found zero ET or MPH gain. IMO the increase in the whine decibels is worth the money. I went from a Redeye intake to LMI and the whine is much louder.

20lbs???...Damn..I love to eat...and I'm gonna be dead for a long time...and my reservation is made..the only steak I'll get when I check out will be well done...so for now..make mine medium rare..fuck the twenty lbs..at my age I don't plan on eatin like a squirrel for 20 lbs
