So Island is a track close to home for you?

Anyone know the rule for a cage in a 2016 factory supercharged car? I know 9.99 or lower but what speed? 135 or 140?
1.5 hours, cage is over 135 and/or 9.99. Same rule for years. I am closer to Atco, it is my home track, so I am a little bias.

How much is your engine worth?
What now you are going to tell me I'm nuts for running pump gas on a stock powered car?

Island 1.5 hours from us, Numidia our home track, about an hour away, no hassles there, really laid back track. We’re from up by Wilkes-Barre.

I have no tune or any other power adder.
I have tried the $220 5gal of ms109 to mix in. The car ran similar numbers in 1000 da as it did in 2000 da on pump gas. I get no knock in data log or timing being pulled.
So pretty sure I will be fine.

You need to get in touch with Ivory Cat aka Chad. He's got the fastest 6 speed in the nation right now I think. I was at the track with him Saturday and he's trapping 140MPH. Best ET was a 10.4 so that tells ya what you're looking at.
@Speedy!

Does your buddy have to run a cage at that speed down there?
I think if I unloaded all that was in my trunk and back seat along with double mats (show mats are under the stock everyday mats) and trunk liner that would shed about 150 lbs, probably gain a tenth or 2 and a MPH or 2 which would put me over 135 :(
I’m not caging my car.

Yeah no argument there if the pulley was installed incorrectly they don’t last long, they don’t like the outer ring pressed on or hit on at all or they fail quick

I need a stinking driveshaft and I'm stuck on which one to get . The mark Williams is out of my budget for the next while. Any clear answers?

@Speedy!

I personally wouldn't race on pump gas, it is too much of a crap shoot. I'd put something better in the tank, even if just a gallon or two as a safety net even on a bone stock car. My bone stock Hellcat would see 3 - 4 deg of STKR on 93. I have logs to show it.

Not at my local track. I've run a bunch of 9.80s there now. I do use a helmet and fire jacket, but no cage. I'll keep my 10.0 tuneup for strict tracks and just hit the number.

@Hpindy with a 1.41 60' I think I'd be right there with you or close. My best 60' is a 1.47 I think, not sure why I can't get it better. I've had a bunch of 1.49 - 1.52.

I was trying to get lower by lowering tire pressure but started getting wheel hop hitting second (M6) Will too low of tire pressure start inducing wheel hop? As that wasn’t happening during prior runs that same day
My BMR lower trailing arms just arrived today so they should help as well. See in pictures, best 60’ was earlier in the day, I kept lowering tire pressure as my digital gauge said it was up to 20 after a run so kept taking it back down to 18 but maybe my gauge was misleading me??

Wheel hop happens at the "stick slip" point of traction.

Agree, but is there a point that too low of tire pressure can lead to it happening easier? Or could deteriorating track conditions be more of the cause? I was hooking up good at one point then wheel hop started. Track closed before I could try a higher pressure and see if it changed things or not. Only asking because I’m kind of green in running tires with this big of sidewall (315/50-17) at this low of pressures, 16-20 psi, and what can lead to what. Just measured the tires static, not on the car, sitting in the 68 F garage, 16 psi, that too low??

radials should be run at 18-20 psi too low and they will fold and can cause wheel hop as well
